Richard L. Nesemeier, 73, of rural Shannon, died Sunday, July 15, 2007 in his home. Born on November 6, 1933 in Stephenson Co., the son of Fred and Ada (Wubbena) Nesemeier. He served in the Army from 1955-1957. Survivors include three sons; Eric Nesemeier of Freeport, Alex Nesemeier of Shannon and Jason Nesemeier of Shannon; one daughter, Amy (Jim) Brockley of FL, one brother Gary (Linda) Nesemeier of Byron, IL, one sister, Doris Linker of Shannon, IL; also four grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday 2 p.m. at Chapel of Peace in Oalkand Cemetery. No Visitation. A memorial has been established in his memory.
