Obituary for Louise Otto


Freeport, Ill. — Louise Otto, 94, of Freeport died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Freeport Rehab and Health Care Center.



She was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Rockford.



Louise was a well known chef at such places as Jolly Troll, Sugar and Spice, Red Cedar Lounge, Elks Club, Country Club and the Wine & Dine.



She is survived by her daughter, Marchia (David) Maney; her sons, Bradley (Carol) Otto, Dale (Chris) Otto and Scot (Kathleen) Haseman; her stepsons, Jeffery (Peggy) Otto and Stephen (Jacqui) Otto, Cynthia Williams Lowther, whom she thought of as a daughter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Freeport Rehab and Health Care and FHN Hospice.



At her request, she will be cremated and there will be no service.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory and sent to 1002 Bertram Drive, Freeport.



Arrangements are being handled by Schwarz Funeral Home.
