Dean was born June 11, 1925, in Hartsburg, a son of Ivan and Florence (Hundt) Urish.
On Oct. 17, 1953, Dean married Shirley A. Logsdon in Oregon. She died April 19, 1997. On Sept. 3, 1998, he married his loving wife, Norma M. Crispino at the Little Brown Church in the Vale at Nashua, Iowa.
Mr. Urish was employed by Country Companies for 22 years and Economy Fire and Casualty Company for 20 years, retiring as vice president.
A United States Army veteran, he served as a medic during the Korean conflict.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John (Chris) Urish and James (Tami) Urish; one daughter, Linda Hill; three stepdaughters; one brother, Everett Urish; one sister, Edith Sawyer; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

His first wife, Shirley, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Harmison and the Rev. Jesse Pestle officiating. Entombment will be at Oakland Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Korean War Veterans.
Arrangements were completed by Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home.
