Lilas Grabow 1928—2016
Lilas V. Grabow, 87, of Forreston, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at FHN Memorial Hospital. Lilas was born April 28, 1928, in Brooklyn, Wisconsin, the daughter of Earl and Vera (Pease) Trickel. Lilas married Robert F. Grabow Sr. on September 15, 1946, in Freeport. Mr. Grabow passed away May 25, 2000. She owned and operated L & R Café in Forreston for many years. Lilas enjoyed playing bingo, card games and going to the boat. Her family and especially her grandkids were very important to her. Surviving are her son, Robert (Lana) Grabow Jr. of Cedarville; daughter, Diana (John) Kilday of Forreston; nine grandchildren, Annette (Lin) Schryver, Barry Pierson, Timothy (Mary) Pierson, Brian (Jerilyn) Kilday, Robin (Billy) Bare, Toni (Ken) Warfield, Kristle (Steve) Morgan, Todd Schoville and Chad Schoville; 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Lilas was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Burke Tubbs in Forreston.
