Eleanor J. Lee, 94, of Stockton passed away Friday, February 14, 2014, at the Stockton Health Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 13, 1919, in Stockton; the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Tyrrell) Dick. She was a 1937 graduate of Stockton High School. Eleanor married Howard E. Lee on August 24, 1940; he died in 1983. She had worked out of her home as a nanny and doing upholstery. Eleanor was a member of the Universalist Church in Stockton. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and her flower garden. She loved to travel, especially to visit her sister, Vivian in Tucson, AZ. Elanor is survived by her daughter, Carol (Ron) Dallagar of Two Harbors, MN; son, Terry Lee of Stockton; grandchildren, Cindy (John) Chezick, Barbara (john) Roser, and Amy (Jeffrey) VandenBerge; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Kayla Chezick, Adam Postovit, and Jake and Alex VandenBerge; sister, Vivian Homan of Tucson, AZ; and brother, Robert Dick. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Peggy; brother, Donald Dick; and sisters, Doris and Iva. The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2014, at the Universalist Church in Stockton, IL, with visitation beginning at 4 p.m. Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery in Freeport, IL at a later date.
